Coast to the Cure 2023 kicked off on Saturday, September 9th at the beautiful Stage Fort Park!
We welcomed over 100 riders and their family/friends/cheer sections throughout the day, with the sun coming out and giving us a perfect fall afternoon. Participants had the option to choose from a 24, 40, or 66 mile course and kicked off the race with their corresponding group across staggered start times. Riders made their way around the north shore and rode through many rest stops with upbeat music, refreshments, clever signs, and a lively cheering section to encourage them along.
After all groups left the start line, the NF Northeast team and their incredible group of volunteers got to work turning over the registration area and creating a beautiful post-race space! The stage was set up and tables/chairs were ready as riders and their supporters began to return, with food provided by Amigos Locos Tex-Mex food truck and Samuel Adams beers flowing in the 21+ beer garden. As riders and supporters relaxed after a great day, they were encouraged to share their “Why You Ride” stories and also enjoyed a fabulous show from the Danvers High School Band. NF Northeast would like to thank all riders, friends, family members, volunteers, and donors for their continuous support as we work to support those with neurofibromatosis, raise awareness, and search for a cure.
Don’t worry if you haven’t had a chance—there’s still time to donate! Fundraising links are live through October 16th, so you can still support NF Northeast or your favorite rider!
