As things continue to change with the spread of the coronavirus and COVID-19 infection, we want to assure our patients, caregivers and loyal volunteers that NF Northeast continues to be here for you.
This is a stressful time for everyone, and we are committed to doing what we can to be sure you are able to connect with the resources and support you need.
In the interest of everyone’s safety, we have stopped travel and our headquarters in Burlington, MA are temporarily closed, but our fully remote team continues to do the work we have been doing for more than three decades.
Our search for a new Executive Director has been put on a temporary pause. We are grateful that Karen Peluso will be staying on in her leadership position as we navigate these uncharted waters.
We have been forced to reduce our part-time staff, but assure you, and them, that this is a temporary action. We are blessed with a dedicated and selfless team and look forward to that day when we are all together again and moving forward in our efforts to end neurofibromatosis.
NF Northeast has cancelled or postponed many of our events and we are looking into new ways to move to virtual and digital fundraising events to continue to engage our devoted community. We welcome any suggestions you may have. As we confirm our plans around events, we will update our website as well as our social media sites.
If you have any questions, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org. This is the time for family, friends and community support. We are all here for each other during these unbelievable circumstances.
We encourage everyone to follow the advice of your health care provider and the Centers for Disease Control, and abide by the safety measures that are implemented in your local community. Our thoughts continue to be with you during this extraordinary time.
